Through his music, he shared his faith in God and his love of people everywhere he went.
Here he is with some of his congregants and friends in Sue’s Pizza in Saugerties, NY. I first met him playing with Earl Pardini in an open potluck jam on the banks of the Hudson in Kingston. Before he became a pastor he went on a world tour with Harry Belafonte and had his own band in the Catskills.
As much as I liked his music, what first caught my attention was his sense of humor. It was unique. As I have had the privilege of filming him many times, I made a video showcase on Vimeo dedicated to his memory.
