The robotic stack — it’s come to replace the hay stack on the farm. 

When I heard that my friends and neighbors, the Coon brothers, were going to install robots to milk their herd of dairy cows, I knew this would be a story I had to tell.  It would be about the coming of new technology, about engineers and computers, about how human hands would be replaced by steel tubes, and about cows. 

It would look something like this:

But within the first few minutes of filming, the story I found was quite different.  It was not about cows at all.  It was about people. 

And it looked more like this:

I was nerdy expecting engineers to show up at the farm.  Instead, I found people who knew as much about milking cows as they did about computers.  

They were all Country.  Meet them!

It depends on understanding the “stack” ….

A “stack” is simply a collection of technologies, components, or fields that are layered on top of each other to create a functional system, where each layer depends on the one below it.
